Down the first case in the history of mankind

Skeletons dating back 1,500 years old were discovered in France have signs of Down syndrome and is said to be the earliest cases in history.
Live Science said, this is the skeleton of a child 5-7 years old range, who lived in France in the Middle Ages, 1,500 years ago. It was discovered during excavations in 1989 along with 93 other skeletons. Excavation site is located near a monastery in northeastern France.

In the course of the study, the experts check the results and capture the three-dimensional structure of the brain, then compared with the skull of 78 other children of the same age. Analysis results showed that children with the signs of Down syndrome that other kids do not.
Among them, the most obvious characteristic is the short skull, broad and flattened on the surface. It has thin skull and bone fragments some parts. This child has an unusual, perhaps a sign of the disorder being reviewed and some other characteristics.
The discovery of the bones in a burial site, along with many other skeleton shows it can still be treated normally and not be discriminated against others.The child was buried with the face-head pointing west and feet pointing east.
Down syndrome was described in 1866, is among the diseases caused by chromosomal disorders. The cause of this syndrome is the presence of all or part of chromosome copies 21. According to the BBC, every 700 newborns worldwide, one infant with Down syndrome.
In the history of archeology, the case is said to be suffering from Down syndrome as early as a child 9 years old, lived in England circa 700-900 AD.
